Our Core Values

At Community Homes of Lebanon County, our actions are guided by seven core values that shape how we serve residents, partners, and the broader community. These values reflect the character of our organization and the principles that have guided us since 1968.

Our Core Values
Truth
We believe in honesty, transparency, and integrity in all that we do.
Truth builds trust with residents, families, donors, and community partners. We communicate clearly, act ethically, and remain accountable in our decisions and stewardship of resources.
Responsibility
We accept responsibility for the well-being of those we serve and for the resources entrusted to us.
This includes financial stewardship, operational excellence, and thoughtful leadership. We strive to make decisions that reflect both compassion and prudence.
Hope
We believe housing provides more than shelter it provides stability and renewed hope.
By offering safe and affordable living environments, we help residents move forward with confidence, security, and a greater sense of possibility.
Respect
We value every person’s inherent worth.
Respect guides how we interact with residents, staff, partners, and the community. We foster an environment where individuals feel heard, valued, and safe.
Compassion
We approach every resident and family with empathy, dignity, and care.
Compassion means recognizing the unique circumstances of each individual and responding with understanding and respect. Our work is rooted in a desire to improve lives through safe and supportive housing.
Fairness
We are committed to fairness in our policies, practices, and relationships.
Every individual is treated with equity and consistency. We work to ensure access to housing opportunities based on established guidelines while honoring the dignity of each person.
Safety
We are committed to providing secure, well-maintained housing environments.
Safety includes physical surroundings, responsible management, and policies that protect the well-being of residents and staff.

Honoring Leadership

These values were thoughtfully reflected upon in a series originally shared by our CEO, Charlie Rush. His leadership and dedication has helped shape the culture of Community Homes and continues to influence our mission today.
